The country's economy has been hit hard by the Corona virus. It is then likely that economic and business activities will gradually begin to revive the economy. The government has started considering reviving the economy and is likely to open malls, multiplexes and retail shops.

It is learned that malls, cinema halls and retail outlets may be allowed to open at night in the green zone areas. In the meantime, however, special conditions will be observed, including maintaining a physical distance and wearing a mandatory mask. According to the government, if the scheme is successful, trade activities will gain momentum. If allowed at night, the traffic will be less and the situation will be easier to handle so different levels of talks are underway, an official said.

However, the final decision on this will rest with the Ministry of Health and only then will the Home Ministry issue guidelines. In Madhya Pradesh, retail outlets are allowed to open from six in the morning till late at night and other states want to take a similar decision. As per the rules of the Ministry of Labor, retail shops can be kept open 24 hours a day.

The CEO of the Retail Association of India said that it would be a good move if malls, cinema halls and retail shops were allowed to open overnight with the condition of maintaining physical distance and wearing masks. But there is a fear that people will not rush to buy more and more goods in a hurry. According to him, if the government takes such a decision, the business sector will get a lot of relief. Prior to the outbreak of the corona virus, up to 15 per cent new recruits were planned in the sector but now decisions will be taken anew.
