Devotees are breaking their centuries-old tradition at the country's famous Jyotirlinga Kashi Vishwanath temple.

The priests of the mahant family were prevented from entering the temple. Due to which the annoyed priests performed Sapt Rishi Aarti on the road. During the Aarti, the priests also anointed Baba Vishwanath by making an earthly Shivling. This Aarti was performed on the road.

Sapt Rishi Aarti Mahant has been performed by family members but Kashi Vishwanath administration did not allow priests to enter the temple. One of these priests Shashi Bhushan Tripathi said that this Aarti has been going on for thousands of years but yesterday the administration stopped us by saying, you Can't enter the temple. Because you have complained to the higher authorities about the Kailash temple.

It may be mentioned that the Kashi corridor is currently under construction and the Kailash temple has been damaged in it. The Mahant family had lodged a complaint with the police.
