PM Modi is likely to take a decision on Saturday by talking to the CM of the states and the administrators of the Union Territories on whether to extend the lockdown deadline on April 14.
PM Modi is scheduled to speak at a video conferencing on Saturday. At the last meeting with the CM, PM Modi sought suggestions from the chief ministers to eliminate the harassment of the tourist workers and the poor.
It is believed that the government wants to phase out the lockdown. The government is willing to put a lockdown on places where corona cases are scarce or are not facing issues.
Top officials believe that if the lockdown continues even after April 15, the economy will suffer huge losses. Under these circumstances, sanctions should be removed in areas not in the Red Zone.
