Emergency package to fight corona, central government gives Rs 15,000 crore to states

The Central Government has taken a big step to fight the coronavirus epidemic. The central government has announced a relief package of Rs 15,000 crore to streamline the state health system, allowing full funding to the states and union territories.

For this, the central government has announced the India COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health System Preparedness Package package. In this package, the full amount for the expenditure will be paid by the Central Government.

The central government has given a special package to the states for improving infrastructure and resources. This package comes with 'India Covid-19 Response Health System Preparedness'. From January 2020 to March 2024, the project is divided into three phases. In the meantime the Center will give money to the States.

Level 1: January 2020 to June 2020

Level 2: July 2020 to March 2021

Step 3: The money has been sent from April 2021 to March 2024. The money can be used in such things as Covid Hospital, Isolation Ward, Ventilators, Oxygen Supply, Lab, PPE, Mask, Health Worker Appointment.

(1) Durikarat Vandana Gurunani of the National Health Mission declared a circular and said that 100 per cent central project would be implemented in three phases from January 2020 to March 2024.

(2) Under this project corona virus infection will be prevented and the health system at national and state level will be strengthened. Together, it involves strengthening observational activities, including medical devices, drug purchases, labs, and bio-security preparations.

(3) This circular has been sent to the Chief Secretaries and Health Commissioners of all the States and Union Territories of the country. It states that immediate funds are being provided.

(4) One of the main activities to be implemented under the first phase is to increase the Covid-19 Hospital and develop other hospitals. Along with the isolation room, ventilator, ICU, oxygen supply to hospitals, labs to hospitals will be adjusted.

(5) Lab N Ambulance will also be increased in the first phase. According to the report, the central package will help procure security equipment (PPE), N-95 masks and ventilators in the state, which is being supplied by the Government of India.
