COVID-19: Recorded 896 new cases on the 16th day of lockdown, the highest 37 deaths in a single day

The number of coronary patients in India has risen to 6761, while so far 206 people have lost their lives across the country. The information was given by the health department on Friday. According to which 37 people have died and 896 new coronary cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.

Out of a total of 6761 cases in the country, 6039 cases are active, 516 fixed and discharged and migrated cases. The Health Department said that on Thursday 16002 corona tests were conducted, out of which only 0.2 per cent of cases were positive.

In addition, the department said that the government has announced a package of Rs 15,000 crore in the fight against Corona. India needs 100 million hydroxy chloroquine tablets, said Joint Secretary Love Agarwal.

India has 3.28 crore tablets in stock. According to him, N-95 masks are also present in the country. Two lakh masks have been provided to the states in two months.

Maharashtra has the highest number of Corona virus in 27 states and all the Union Territories in the country with 1,364 Maharashtra, followed by Delhi with 898 cases and Tamil Nadu with 834 cases.
