Corona Effect: Carbon emissions reduced, Earth's air purified

New delhi date. 03 March 2020, Friday

Corona virus is benefiting our planet Earth. The earth is now breathing more clean air. 75 years ago, we had such clear air on our planet. This was so pure air during World War II before. Scientists hope that for the first time since World War II, carbon emissions on Earth will be reduced.

Rob Jackson, president of the Global Carbon Project, has said he expects carbon emissions to decline by 5% this year. Prior to this, carbon emissions were up 1.4% at the time of the 2008 economic downturn. Rob Jackson is a professor at Stanford University, California. He said many countries were closed during World War II. Market, transportation, businesses were closed. So the level of pollution in the air was very low. Java is getting the same look again.

He said the reduction of carbon emissions during the outbreak of the Corona virus is a good news. But this reduction in pollution is only temporary. As the lockdown strikes, we will be forced to live in that mess. Our earth will also breathe in pollution-free air. But it needs to be gradually reduced.

Scientists believe that even if the Corona virus lockdown reduces carbon emissions by 10 to 20% this year, it may not last much longer. Because, by the beginning of 2021, it will start to grow again which is a matter of concern.
