Unusual bombardment of crop in LOC: Two militants encounter in Kashmir's Shopia

Pakistani troops opened fire at the LoC border. The Indian army also responded to the firing by targeting Indian outposts and border villages in the Poonch sector. Meanwhile, two militants were attacked in Shopia.

A spokesman for India's Defense Department said that the Pakistani army had bombed the LoC. The Pakistani army had killed the martyr by targeting the Indian military outposts in the Poonch sector. A similar mortar was also found in the Shahpur sector. In response, Indian troops also fired. However, there were no casualties in India, the Defense Department said.

On the other hand, security forces launched an operation in Shopia, Jammu and Kashmir, in which two militants from Lashkar-e-Toiba were killed. Both terrorists have been involved in terrorist activity since 2017 and numerous crimes have been registered against them. Police said both were found with weapons including an AK-47, grenade launcher, magazines and a Chinese-made gun.

A Pakistani spy was arrested during police petroleum in Poonch sector. The spy in POK used to convey sensitive information and photographs of Indian borders to Pakistan. Police have been informed as to how much information has been provided to Pakistan by launching an inquiry, police said.
