The 27-year-old ban on yoga was lifted in this state of America

There are yoga balls all over the world. Now the World Yoga Day is also celebrated.

In the midst of all this you may be surprised to know that yoga has been banned in one state of the United States for the last 27 years.

The House of Representatives in Alabama has been debating whether to lift the ban for several months. It was eventually voted on. There were 84 votes in favor of the ban and 17 in opposition. It is worth mentioning that, under pressure from some fundamentalist organizations, the state government of Alabama banned all public schools in the state in 1993, along with yoga and meditation.

However, a resolution was lifted Tuesday by Democratic Party legislator Jeremy Gray to remove the rock. On which the proposal was approved by a large majority after the vote. The proposal to remove the yoga will now be sent to the state Senate. Where it is approved, yoga can be introduced as an optional activity in schools.
