Shaheenbagh protesters must implement the ban too: Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today announced that all religious, social, cultural and political gatherings in the capital city where more than 5,000 people would be assembled will not be allowed until March 31, in view of the coronavirus epidemic. The dam against the CAA has been going on at Shaheenbagh and Jamia Malia Islamia for the last 90 days.

The women of Shaheenbagh said that women and others sitting in the dams were being provided masks and sanitizers and there was no need to fear the coronavirus. The Delhi government also closed all gyms, nightclubs and spas by the end of March.

By March 31, all religious, social and political programs where more than fifty people gathered in the capital were canceled, 'Kejriwal told a press conference. Although there is no ban on bridal ceremonies, people were advised to carry forward the dates of the wedding, the Chief Minister said.
