Prime Minister Modi's visit canceled in Corona

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was scheduled to travel to Bangladesh on March 17, but the program, which was supposed to go to Bangladesh with three corona cases, was canceled.

The birth anniversary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's birth anniversary in Bangladesh was to take place on March 17, but Mujib Yar's program was canceled with immediate effect after three corona cases were registered. Bangladesh Foreign Minister said that Mujib Yar's program will be held in a new way. At this time we will inform the Indian Ministry of External Affairs about the new program. Until then the program has been canceled.

External Affairs Ministry officials said the visit was canceled as the program was canceled. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the chief guest in Mujib Yar. This was Modi's first Bangladesh trip after the Citizenship Act was amended. Because of this the tour was important. Talks with Sheikh Hasina were also likely to be held during the visit regarding Bangladeshi infiltration.

Speaker of the Parliament of Bangladesh Shirin Chowdhury canceled a visit to India last week after the Corona case was registered in India. By the invitation of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Shirin Chowdhury was to be the chief guest at a program in India.
