No train will run in the country till 31st March, Railway announces

Indian Railways has announced the closure of all passenger trains by March 31 amid the growing risk of corona virus.

Railways have said that all long-distance trains, express trains and intercity trains will be closed until midnight on March 31 at 12pm.

As per the notification issued by the Railways, Kolkata Metro, Konkan Railway and Suburban Trains will also be closed. However, the Metro service will continue till 12pm tonight in Kolkata and suburban train service in other cities till 12pm.

Today, the public was announced not to run trains due to curfew. Trains which are currently underway will be terminated after reaching the destination.

Train travel has now become risky after a number of coronary patients have come out to train. People have been urged not to travel by train as long as possible.

However, now the impact is also seen. People are canceling train tickets in large numbers.
