- Governor's trust order in Madhya Pradesh, CM Kamal Nath's ordeal

Bhopal, Ta. March 16, 2020, Monday

There is a situation like today's do or die for the Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh. In Madhya Pradesh, following the order of Governor Lalji Tandon, floor tests may have to be done today. However, the suspension depends on whether the floor will be tested. Even after the Governor's order, the floor test procedure has not been listed in the House proceedings. At midnight, Chief Minister Kamal Nath also met with the Governor. A cloud of crisis has surrounded the Kamal Nath government in the Legislative Assembly, with 22 legislators resigning in support of Jyotiraditya Scindia in the state. And the Legislature has to demonstrate its power.

BJP makes legislators hostage: Congress
On the other hand, the Congress has accused the BJP of destroying the legislators and destabilizing the government in the state. Until this MLA is released, the floor test in the Assembly cannot take place. Kamal Nath has also demanded that all MLAs have corona virus tests before the floor test.

BJP MLAs arrive in Bhopal
The assembly is scheduled to begin on Monday. BJP MLAs arrive in Bhopal on Sunday night at 3 pm. BJP state president VD Sharma and Leader of Opposition Gopal Bhargava arrived to receive BJP MLAs. Meanwhile, he said that Kamal Nath's government is sure to fall in Madhya Pradesh. The BJP had sent its MLAs to Delhi on the night of March 10 by bus from the party office in Bhopal. The MLAs were then taken to a hotel in Gurgaon.

Along with Congress veteran Jyotiraditya Scindia in Madhya Pradesh, 22 legislators have also resigned from the Congress. This has led to the current Kalamnath government being in crisis.

In the meantime, state Governor Lalji Tund has now asked Chief Minister Kamal Nath to prove a majority on Monday, the 16th, following which a fire test for Kamal Nath has now begun.

A statement issued by the Governor said that as per the information I received, 22 legislators in Madhya Pradesh have resigned, they sent me and the Speaker separately.

In view of the powers conferred on me under Articles 174 and 175 (2) of the Constitution, I order Chief Minister Kamal Nath to prove a majority in the Legislative Assembly, the session of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly will begin at 11 am on March 16, and then the present Government will have to prove a majority. The Governor has said that video recording of the trust process will also be made.

At the same time, six ministers have been removed from the Cabinet of the Kamal Nath government and their resignation speaker has also been accepted. When Kamal Nath also told me in a March 13 letter that he was ready for trust. While I have also received a letter from the BJP, the BJP has alleged that the Kamal Nath government is pushing intimidating the lawmakers who have resigned.

It seems to me from all these situations that the Kamal Nath government has lost faith in the Assembly and therefore it is necessary to carry out the trust process. On the other hand, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly NP Prajapati said, "I will give my opinion on confidence only on Monday."
