(PTI) New Delhi, Mar 16, 2020, Monday

The families of the four convicts who were sentenced to death in the Nirbhaya gangrepe and murder case, wrote a letter to President Ramnath Kovind on Sunday seeking approval for the will. The guilty parents, brothers and sisters and their children demanded the President's death.

The families of all the four convicts in the Nirbhaya case have written to the President through lawyer AP Singh seeking permission for a will. In his letter, he mentioned that his economic fortunes were not good and that there was no wealth in his life after the execution of the culprits. He has also sent a copy of this letter to Nirbhaya's parents.

It is pertinent to mention that the four accused in the Nirbhaya case are to be hanged at 5:30 pm on March 20. In the letter, he cited the Ramayana, saying that to destroy sinful, sinful and family, any future crime would be prevented and the court should not have to execute five people instead of one.

In the letter he has no sin that cannot be forgiven. In the past, there has been a pardon for mahapapais in the country. The definition of revenge is not power, but forgiveness is an example of the greatest power, he said, expressing the expectation of forgiveness to the victim's family and the president.

The Supreme Court, on the other hand, rejected the petition as baseless, failing the last step to avoid the execution of Mukesh Singh, the convict in the Nirbhaya case. In the petition, Mukesh's old lawyer was accused of cheating and asked to be allowed to file mercy petition again.

Except for Mukesh, three other accused have been slapped at an international court door to avoid the death sentence. Akshay, Pawan and Vinay have appealed to the ICJ to avoid hanging. According to the guilty lawyer AP Singh, people from all over the world are interested in the case and they do not trust the Indian justice system. Various organizations around the world have sought the help of ICJ. At the same time, he said that all the convicts and their families are confident in the Indian judicial system and the President, expecting that the people of the family would allow the President's will.
