4% increase in inflation allowance
It has allowed the central government to increase the inflation allowance by 4 per cent, giving big relief to employees and pensioners. In a written reply to the Rajya Sabha last week, Union Minister of State for Finance Anurag Singh Thakur informed that with the salary of March, central employees and pensioners will begin to receive inflation allowance. The inflation allowance is the rupee, which is given to improve the living standards of the government employees of the country. India, Pakistan and Bangladesh are the countries in the world whose government employees are given this allowance. When inflation increases, the daily living standard of the employees does not suffer due to money.

The Mundhwari allowance began during World War I. Mumbai's textile industry in India first started inflation allowance in 1972. Thereafter, the central government had promised to give dearness allowance to every government employee. The capital is given to government employees, public sector employees and pensioners.
