ED summons Anil Ambani over loan issue from Yes Bank

ED will inquire about all businessmen who have taken loan from Yesbank. On his part, the ED has summoned businessman Anil Ambani. Anil Ambani had sought more time to attend to the cause of health. The company clarified that there was nothing wrong with the loan process.

Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani has been summoned by the ED to appear at the Mumbai office. Anil Ambani will be questioned about the process of obtaining loan from Yesbank. The ED has decided to issue summons to all indebted businessmen on the Yesbank issue, officials said. The ED has conducted an inquiry into the loan process as well as its link with Yasbank's Rana Kapoor.

An investigation has been launched against Rana Kapoor and his family under money laundering. In the same context, the businessmen who get loan will also be examined. However, the Reliance Group said in an official statement that the company had no involvement in the money laundering allegations and there was nothing wrong with the loan process. Earlier, the company also announced that the loan taken from Yesbank is fully secured and the company will repay the amount within the stipulated time.

It was reported that eight subsidiaries of Anil Ambani Group Company had taken a loan of Rs 12,800 crore from Yes Bank. The ED had then hinted at Anil Ambani's inquiry.
