In Gokulpuri area, a constable was killed in a shootout by protesters while 37 policemen, including a DCP Amit Sharma, were injured. In addition, two civilians were killed in the clash. Section 144 has been implemented in 10 districts. According to sources, a head constable named Ratan Lal has been killed in a shootout by CAA opponents.

Ratan Lal was working in the ACP's office. A large number of protesters are still in the Jafarabad area and the protesters have set fire to two houses in Mojpur. The storms started at 11:00 am, which lasted until about 2.00pm, sources said.

Kejriwal's appeal to end violence

Regarding the death of Head Constable Ratan Lal, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that the death of Police Head Constable was a tragic incident. He was one of us all. The protesters kindly give up the violence. It will not benefit anyone. Only peace can solve all problems. At this time, Kejriwal sought help from the center. He tweeted, News of unrest in some parts of Delhi is annoying. Lieut. I urge the Governor and the Union Home Minister to maintain law and order.

The storms set fire to a two-home, petrol pump

Mischievous elements are attacking the police with alcohol bottles. Apart from this, continuous shootings are also taking place.

Two metro stations closed

Earlier, CAA supporters and opposition protesters were stoned to death in the Mojpur area of ​​north-east Delhi on Monday. This time the entry and exit gates of the Delhi Metro's Mojpur-Babarpur Metro Station were closed. Joint Commissioner of Police, East Range Alok Kumar, said that the situation in the surrounding area has become stressful and police are monitoring the situation.
