New Delhi, Feb 15, 2020, Saturday

For the past two months, women have been sitting on the dharna in protest against CAA and NRC in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh, no one from the government has come to meet these women. In such situation, women have now decided to turn their backs to the government. Following this, a delegation of these protesting women from Shaheen Bagh will go to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Earlier, the women issued a statement saying that we are ready to meet any government leader or representative, Home Minister Amit Shah.

Now the women have decided to go to meet Amit Shah. One of the organizers of the exhibition, Syed Ahmed Taseer, said, "We are ready to go to meet Home Minister Amit Shah but he should clarify how many of us want to meet him."

One of the demonstrators, Mehrunisa, said that on Sunday, the women will leave March 1 till the residence of Home Minister Amit Shah, after which he will meet Amit Shah. After meeting them, we will appeal the CAA, NRC and NPR for video. However, even after this visit, if the government does not accept our demands, our protest will continue.

Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah also told a news channel that whoever wants to visit me should visit my office and seek time, we will give him time to meet within three days. On the other hand, women will go to meet Amit Shah at two o'clock on Sunday afternoon.

However, they have taken an appointment as Amit Shah has said and no specific information has been announced by the protesters. However, a statement issued by the Home Ministry said that the meeting with Amit Shah was not certain.

Various reports came out, claiming earlier that Amit Shah invited the women of Shaheen Bagh for a visit, which these women accepted and would go to meet. However, home ministry sources said no such visit has been scheduled.
