A Sri Lankan parliamentary committee has proposed an immediate ban on Burkha. The committee also proposed to cancel the registration of political parties on religious and religious grounds. The Sri Lankan National Security Committee has proposed this, citing the terrorist attack on Easter day on April 21 last year.

According to media reports, the committee says that the police should have the right to ask a person to appear in public places to identify him and if the person does not enforce the police's request, he should be arrested without a warrant. The proposal presented by the committee calls for resolving 14 contentious issues after the Easter attacks.

In addition, the proposal also proposed a law to abolish the registration of political parties on the basis of caste and religion. At the same time, it is said that all students studying in Madrassas should be sent to the general schooling system under the Ministry of Education within three years.
