(Picture of the time I visited Daulatpur-Nasirabad village in 1978)

The village of Daulatpur which Jimmy Carter visited is known as Carterpuri.
When Morarji Desai was the Prime Minister, US President Jimmy Carter visited India on a four-day visit. Jimmy Carter's mother, Lillian Carter, worked as a Peace Corps Volunteer in India, and Jimmy was uniquely associated with India. Lillian Carter first came to this village during World War II.

Jimmy Carter visited Daulatpur-Nasirabad village near Delhi. Carter gave television set gifts to the people of this village. The elders of the village still remember the pleasant hour that Carter came to the village. In the village there was an atmosphere as if there was a big festival. People dressed in new clothes and stood up to welcome the white president. The village was renamed Carterpury in memory of Jimmy Carter. Jimmy along with Jimmy also visited Daulatpur-Nasirabad. As long as Carter was president of the United States, the letter was exchanged between the White House and the Village Council. Now only the name Kartarpuri is left and everything else is forgotten.

Until the time of the Carter regime in America, tourists from America used to visit this village for the sake of the villagers. Carterpuri, located near Gurugam in the state of Haryana, is still thriving. Delhi's urban area continues to grow as the sector grows. Carterpuri, located near Sector-23, is struggling to identify itself. There is not a good way from the main gate to enter the village of Carterpuri, surrounded by sectors. At one time the village was proud to be a resident of Carterpuri, but now it is difficult to find the village because of the concrete jungle standing around it.
