Supreme Court rejects Nirbhaya's guilty plea: now send a verdict on all four

(PTI) New Delhi, Ta. February 14, 2020, Friday

Vinay Sharma, one of the four criminals in the Nirbhaya case, filed a petition in the Supreme Court for not hanging him because he was mentally unstable. The Supreme Court ruled on the basis of its medical reports that modesty was completely mental and could be executed. All four accused have now come close to the gallows.

Vinay Sharma, the culprit of the Nirbhaya case, had filed a petition to the Supreme Court stating that he was mentally unstable in the case to which he had applied for mercy, but the President had rejected the application regardless.

During the hearing of the plea, Vinay's lawyer argued that the situation was caused by the jail system's mental torture and then the jail administration only cured Vinay's mental state.

The Supreme Court examined its medical reports in connection with that application. Rejecting the petition on the basis of which the Supreme Court said that modesty is mentally stable. Is balanced. The issue of hanging him cannot be interrupted.

The court added that it would not be sufficient to prevent the execution of the judgment on the basis that the President's plea for mercy was justified and not mentally stable.

Vinay's petition argued that the President did not take heart in refusing the mercy petition. The Supreme Court has said that such words have been utterly irresponsible about the country's Constitutional Head. The president must have made all the decisions before making any decision. Such an argument is not correct.

After the Supreme Court rejected the plea, now the hanging around the neck of the criminals in the Nirbhaya case has come to a close.
