New Delhi, Feb 10, 2020, Monday

The Supreme Court refused to order any interference against the ongoing protests by Muslim women in the Shaheen Bagh linking New Delhi and Noida for the last two months on the issue of new citizenship laws and citizens register.

However, the court stated in clear terms that there is no way you can permanently bar any law against any law.

The apex court had sought reply from the central government and the Delhi police on the issue and urged them to file their reply within a week.

The Supreme Court also refused to order the removal of the protesters by force or any other means.

Justice Sanjay Kisan Kaul and Justice K Joseph said, "If you suffer so much these days, do a few more days." The next hearing is on February 17th. We also have to hear the opinion of the government and the police.
