Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse visits India on a four-day visit

Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse has visited India for four days. A bilateral meeting between PM Modi and Mahinda Rajapaksa was held at Hyderabad House after his formal reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan today.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on strengthening relations between the two countries on trade, security and other issues. Security, terrorism and trade between the two countries have been key issues. PM Modi and Mahinda Rajapaksa expressed their commitment to further strengthen the relations between the two countries.

At the same time, the two countries assured mutual cooperation on security and terrorism issues.
