Sachin Tendulkar accepts challenge for women's cricket

Canberra, Ta. 9 February 2020, Sunday

All-time great Sachin Tendulkar has taken to the field to bat once again after five and a half years, accepting the challenge given by Australian woman cricketer Ellis Perry.

A charity match was held in Melbourne, Australia today to help those affected by the fire in Australia's forests. The match was played between Ricky Ponting and Adam Gilchrist.

Sachin Tendulkar was in the role of coach of Ponting's team in this match. However, Australian women's team member Alessi Perry challenged Sachin two days ago to take one over in his bowling during the break in the match and accepted Sachin's challenge and said, "The doctor has refused to bat me because of a shoulder injury but I am an over-bat. I'll accept the challenge

Then during the break in a charity match today, when Sachin stepped into the field wearing the yellow T-shirt of the Australian team, the field was once again buzzing with Sachin-Sachin's slogan.

Sachin had already hit the fine leg on the ball. However, this boundary came from the fielder's misfield. Sachin played one over and was not out.
