Before American President Donald Trump came to India, he has once again claimed that I would like to welcome one crore people to Ahmedabad.
Earlier, Trump had said that 70 million people would be on the road for the reception at the road show from the airport to the Matera Stadium. Trump, however, made the claim in reference to PM Modi.
There is a big gap between Trump's claim and reality, though. The total population of Ahmedabad is between 70 and 80 lakh.
Meanwhile, Trump said at a rally in Colorado in the US, "I am going to India next week, PM Modi. I'm going to talk to them about trade deals. One million people are going to welcome us when we get to the stadium. I am talking to PM Modi about trade. India has long been taking a similar stance with the US by levying higher taxes on American products.
However, till the number of people seems concerned, Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner Vijay Canal has made it clear yesterday that lakhs of people will be present at this roadshow.
