Islamic organization accuses Muslims of being targeted in India

New delhi date. February 27, 2020, Friday

The Organization of Islamic Co-operation (OIC), the largest global Islamic organization of Muslim countries, reacted strongly to the violence in Delhi on Thursday. The Islamic organization has criticized incidents of violence in Delhi, accusing it of targeting minorities in India.

The IOC tweeted that all the recent deaths and injurious killings against Muslims in India have been considered dangerous. We strongly condemn incidents of violence in New Delhi that damage Muslims' property and mosques. We express our condolences to the families of the victims of these abominations.

The OIC has demanded that the government of India, using the hashtag Indian Muslims in Danger, incite violence against Muslims and punish those who plotted, to ensure justice. The OIC has also said that the Indian government should ensure the safety of its Muslim citizens and the sanctuaries of Islam throughout the country.

The Foreign Ministry has also responded to OIC's allegations. Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar said, "The organization's statement is factually incorrect, selective and misleading." Attempts are being made to normalize the status quo and create an atmosphere of trust.

We appeal to such organizations not to make such irresponsible statements. Ravishkumar said that the Islamic organization has also made insensitive statements in the past and tried to comment on India's internal affairs.

Saudi Arabia's dominant Islamic organization includes 57 Muslim-majority countries, including Pakistan. The organization has been supporting Pakistan on all issues, including Kashmir. The OIC also reacted to citizenship laws. The OIC said it was concerned with the civil reforms law and the Ayodhya verdict.
