New delhi date. February 27, 2020, Friday

The total death toll has risen to 2,744 with the death of 29 more people due to the corona virus in China, and the number of corona cases has increased to 78,497. However, corona care in China is now declining, as the death toll of 29 people is the lowest this week, health department officials said Thursday.

At the same time, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), India's leading industrial organization, said that the estimated 130,000 Indian companies operating in China are being threatened by a 15-20 percent drop in revenue due to the corona virus. These companies are currently facing a number of challenges in China.

On the other side, India's aircraft returns with more than 112 Indians trapped in Wuhan, the epicenter of the Corona Virus, and more than 124 people aboard a cruise ship at the Japanese port of Tokyo. The Indian Air Force's C-17 Globster aircraft has returned 76 Indians and 36 foreigners from Wuhan, while Air India's aircraft has returned 124 people from Tokyo.

Foreign nationals rescued from Wuhan include 23 from Bangladesh, six from China, two from Myanmar and two from Maldives, South Africa, the United States and one each from Madagascar. In addition to 119 Indians aboard the Coronation Ship Diamond Princess at the port of Tokyo, two Sri Lankans and one civilian from Nepal, South Africa and Peru have been rescued.

Meanwhile, India's industrial body, CII, said that more than 130 Indian companies operating in China are currently facing a number of challenges due to the corona virus, which is threatening them with a loss of 15-20 per cent in revenue. The unmanaged costs of companies are increasing and the problem of retaining employees who are frightened by the corona virus has also increased.

The CII said that people in China are avoiding jobs in remote areas because of the corona. They are giving the first choice to the adjacent house. As such, retaining talented employees and hiring new employees has become a major issue for Indian companies. Without mentioning the names of the companies, CII said that the corona has seriously affected the performance of Indian companies in China.

Meanwhile, educational institutions in Sindh and Balochistan have been shut down after two people returning from Iran to Karachi were confirmed to have been infected with the Corona virus. Special Health Advisor Zafar Mirza said that a young man was confirmed to have suffered corona virus in Karachi on Wednesday. This was the first case in Pakistan.

Another person was also reported to have been exposed to the corona virus on Thursday. With this, neighboring countries around India have been infected with the corona virus. Pakistan has sealed its border with Iran, reaching Corona's death toll of 19 in Iran.
