Husband murdered on suspicion of emerging BJP leader

Bharatiya Janata Party woman leader Munesh Godara has been shot dead by her husband in Gurgaon, Haryana. According to reports, her husband had killed her due to suspicion of having an affair with another man.

The deceased Munesh Godara (34 years old) was the Secretary of State for the Haryana BJP Farmer Front and a rising BJP leader. He campaigned for BJP candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections. Besides, he has also met BJP president JP Nadda in the functioning of the party. According to police, Munish's husband Sunil was suspected of her and is still absconding after the murder.

Police reached the scene and took Munish's body and sent it for postmortem. Sunil Charkhi, a native of Dadri, lived in a rented house in Sector-93 of Gurugram. Munesh's father-in-law, Chandrabhan, wrote in the police complaint that his son was a security officer and lived on the eighth floor of the society.

According to the police, Sunil was suspected of having relations with someone from Munesh and there was a dispute between the two over the issue. Munish's father-in-law also complained that there was a dispute between Sunil and Munish on the night of the murder and that Sunil was drunk at the time.

The deceased Munesh went to the kitchen and talked to someone over the phone, so angry Munesh fired his service revolver and fired bullets in his stomach and chest so that the incident died on the spot. Munesh was a resident of Nagaon in Jhajjar district and was interested in the work of the party.
