High Court decision on hanging Nirbhaya Naradhams

New delhi date. 05 February 2020 Wednesday

The perpetrators of Nirbhaya have not yet been hanged, due to the legal options they have, but could not be hanged. The Delhi High Court today decided whether the guilty could be separately hanged.

Earlier, the high court had asked the four accused not to be hanged enough. The central government, on the other hand, has appealed to the High Court and demanded that the lower court order the stay order on the death sentence be removed.

The trial is currently pending in the High Court. There is a possibility that the High Court may reject the demands of the Government as per the rules no other offender of the same case can be hanged in case there are pending petitions or pending alternatives.

The central government has demanded that the criminals be hanged as soon as these criminals were deliberately delaying the execution, with the help of mercy petition and curative petition, and also accused the Delhi government of delaying the execution. Now the High Court will make its decision on this matter on Wednesday.
