Four children killed in fire in a private school mini bus in Punjab

Four children were burnt to death in a tragic incident in the Punjab's Sangrur district when a school bus crashed and a mini-bus operated illegally, police said.

The tragedy happened on the Longowal-Sidaschar route. There were a total of twelve children in the bus when the incident took place. Soko, who was working in the fields, rescued eight children, but the children, including a three-year-old girl, were still alive, police said.

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh ordered an investigation into the incident. The incident happened while the children were leaving school and going home. The police official who reached the scene said that the police registered a crime under section 304 of the IPC and launched a further investigation against the school principal, the management and the driver of the mini van. '

A preliminary investigation revealed that the van was in critical condition, according to the District Transportation Office report, but was driven by the school. We will also take action against them and file chargesheets against them if the vehicle dealing office or any officer there is found guilty, ”police said.

According to him, the school which was run in Longowal was recently moved to another house outside the village. The school is temporarily affiliated with the Punjab Education Board and the mini bus was in a dilapidated condition. Also, the van did not have proper documentation.
