Professors and students of Delhi's Gargi College have taken up the issue of harassment of college students during the anniversary. At the same time, the sub-policemen are alleged to have been watching the entire incident inactive.

After the entire incident came to light, a senior Delhi police officer went to the campus to investigate the CCTV footage and after registering a complaint from the college, the police registered an FIR.

College students have claimed that non-college outsiders, aged 30-35, got intoxicated and admitted to college during the anniversary and behaved disrespectfully with the students.

In the videos posted by socialites, students and teachers can be seen as drunk people gather at the college gate in south Delhi and forcefully enter.

One student claimed to have confessed to the fact that the entranced elements had harassed women and pursued cigarettes all over campus, as well as providing visuals.

During the anniversary celebrations, the students came out to protest against the incident of harassment so that the Delhi Women's Commission team got information about the incident from the girls on campus. In addition, Congress presented the issue to the Lok Sabha. During the entire incident, Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel were standing in front of the campus but it was claimed that they did not help.
