Four Congress leaders from Madhya Pradesh have demanded the party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to be picked up from Madhya Pradesh for the Rajya Sabha election. Madhya Pradesh will have three Rajya Sabha seats vacant this April. At present, senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh has been elected from one seat, while the other two are in the BJP.

This time the Congress party has won the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections in 2018, this time two of the three Rajya Sabha seats will go to the Congress. In the context of this election, former Union Minister Arun Yadav and three current state ministers have urged the party to put Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in the Rajya Sabha elections.

Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was committed to the upliftment of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and women. Priyanka Gandhi is following in her footsteps. As soon as Indiraji entrusted the leadership of Madhya Pradesh to Kamal Nath, it is time to take Priyanka Gandhi to the Rajya Sabha from this state meeting, said Sajjan Singh Sharma, one of the three leading Congress leaders, whom Arun Yadav has given to the former Madhya Pradesh Congress president. These leaders have also demanded Rahul Gandhi to lead the Congress party again.
