A case of sedition has been registered against a school in Beedar, Karnataka. A case has been registered against the Shaheen Education Institute over citizenship law and the NRC for using profane words about the Prime Minister during the drama.

Police have registered a case of sedition against the school after questioning of two women and school staff. The school is accused of condemning Prime Minister Modi during a drama about citizenship law and the NRC.

Social activist Nilesh Rakesh had lodged a police complaint in this regard. According to the complaint, the young children who participated in the play were seen speaking objectionable words from the stage in protest against the CAA and the NRC and at that time a child used profane language against the Prime Minister.

The school administration has been accused of intimidating people into leaving the country in the minds of a group of people who have stirred up against the CAA-NRC. A Bidar man shared the video of the program on social media and police have also taken action against him. The complainant claims that the video could cause disorganization in several areas because of the viral as it has provided false message against the police and the government.
