Budget 2020: Modi government, farmers will become energy lenders, hindering farmers

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting Dyka's first budget in Parliament. The Finance Minister said that the Modi government has implemented many schemes for the farmers and in this budget the government has created 16-point action plan for the farmers. Annadata is now announcing to be an energy provider and said that the government has set a target to double farmers' income by 2022 through various schemes.


- Implementation of the Modern Agriculture Land Act by state governments

- To tackle the water crisis, a special scheme will be implemented in 100 districts so that farmers do not face water problems.

- PM Kusum Yojana: - Under this scheme farmers' pumps will be connected to solar pumps. Under it, 20 lakh farmers will benefit. At the same time, 1.5 lakh farmers will also be connected to solar grid grid pumps.

- Aim to install solar pumps on bean fertile ground

- Village storage scheme: Under this scheme, the holding capacity of the farmers' crop will be increased (they will be able to keep it till full price). NABARD will take over the existing warehouse, cold storage in the country, and develop it with a new method. New warehouses and cold storage will still be built in the country. The PPP model will be adopted for this.

- Women Self Group will be encouraged. Dhan Lakshmi will be started to make Dhani Lakshmi. Under it, women will be involved in the schemes linked to the seed.

- Aim to double farmers' income by 2022

Cold storage will be at Panchayat level
- The focus will be on the creation of a portal, a product, a district for organic farming

- Government to build warehouse for farmers
- Aim to double milk production by 2025
- Proposed 200 lakh tonnes of fish production by 2022-23
