With the Saraswati worship in Bangladesh, people took to the streets

Dhaka, Ta. 15. Wednesday January 2020

India's neighboring country, Bangladesh, has become a hotbed of Saraswati worship.

The High Court of Bangladesh has rejected a petition for changing the dates of election of the corporation to be held in Dhaka.

However, after the petition was rejected, a large number of people from the Hindu community came out on the road and staged a demonstration.

Students from Dhaka University blocked the busiest area for an hour and a half. Students have given a day to change the date for the Election Commission. Students said that if the date does not change, we will surround the office of the Election Commission.

Ashok Kumar, a Supreme Court lawyer and petitioner to change the date, said, "We are upset and will appeal against the order."

Saraswati Puja is held on 29-30 January and elections will be held on 30 January.
