West Bengal, Maharashtra's Tables Not Found at the January 26 Parade

If this had happened in the time of UPA, Maharashtra BJP would have made a big difference: Sanjay Raut

Both state tables are not chosen as the rule is not: defense of the central government

New delhi date. January 2, 2020, Thursday

The Republic Day parade has not given a table to West Bengal and Maharashtra, whose controversy is mounting. The Trinamool Congress has attacked the central government over the rejection of West Bengal tables.

The Trinamool Congress said that this decision was taken because of Mamata Banerjee's intense stance against the citizenship reform law and the growing trend in the state. He called it an insult to the state and its people. The NCP and the Shiv Sena have also termed the matter an insult to the state on the issue of non-establishment of taboos in Maharashtra.

In West Bengal, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Tapas Roy alleged that the Modi government at the center was working with a spirit of revenge towards the state. Since West Bengal opposes the anti-people policies of the BJP government, it is being dealt with a bit.

As Mamata Banerjee is leading the opposition to citizenship reform laws and laws like the NRC in the country, the central government has rejected our tableau proposal. This kind of politics will not stop us from opposing anti-people policies. The BJP has insulted the people of West Bengal, which it will get a jarring answer in the near future.

Responding to the allegations of the Trinamool Congress, West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh said that the proposal of West Bengal Tables was rejected as the state government did not comply with the rules. The grassroots Congress should stop doing politics on every issue.

Like West Bengal, the proposal of Maharashtra Tables has also been rejected. Attaching the issue to the state's humiliation, NCP MP Supriya Sule said that the Modi government was adopting a 'biased' attitude by refusing the Maharashtra and West Bengal tables, which did not have BJP rule.

The Maharashtra CM should look into the matter. In the Rajya Sabha, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut also criticized the Center and said that if this kind of transaction took place during the UPA regime, the Maharashtra BJP had a big uproar.

The Ministry of Defense's argument

The Defense Ministry on Wednesday rejected the proposal of West Bengal and Maharashtra tables. The ministry said in a statement that an expert committee of the West Bengal government rejected the proposal after a two-stage inquiry. Tables from West Bengal were shortlisted to participate in Republic Day 2020. But the West Bengal proposal was rejected after the expert committee considered the second meeting.

A total of 22 proposals were accepted

The Ministry of Defense received 32 proposals from Tables of States and Union Territories and 24 from the Ministries of Union Ministries. The ministry said that after five meetings, a total of 22 tables, including 16 of the states-union territories and 6 of the ministries-departments, have been selected for the Republic Day parade.

Why West Bengal's application was rejected

Government sources said that the West Bengal government had rejected the table's proposal because it did not adhere to the 'unique theme' criteria. The state government has proposed three schemes for girls, Save Green, Stay Clean and 'Dhar Dhar Jal Bhoor' for its tables.

According to the rule, the theme for the tabloos should be unique, and West Bengal's proposal for 'Kanyashree' was rejected in 2015, as the Center has a similar 'Betty Bachao, Betti Padha' scheme. W The National Clean Air Program is the center of the same scheme as Bengal's Save Green, Stay Clean. Besides, the central plan like 'water catchment, water fill' scheme is 'Atal Jal Yojana'. Thus, all three schemes in West Bengal did not meet the criteria for unicorns.

NDA-ruled 8, UPA-ruled 4-state tablo approved

Due to lack of time for the Republic Day parade, 22 out of 56 proposals for Tableau were selected from 32 states - Union Territories and Ministries of the country, of which 15 proposals were from States, one Union Territory and 6 Proposed Ministries. Of the selected states, eight are governed by the NDA while four are governed by the UPA and three states do not have the NDA or the UPA.

The selected states include NDA-ruled states of Assam, Goa, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Rajasthan, while NDA-UPA is not ruled in this state. Telangana and Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir.
