After international institutions such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, now the UN also reduced India's GDP growth rate estimates.

Last year, the UN declared India's GDP growth rate at 7.6 percent. This year, the UN estimated India's GDP growth rate of 5.7. Earlier, top economists had also expressed their own valuable views on India's GDP growth rate.

However, the World Bank has only announced a GDP growth rate of five percent. The Central Statistics Organization of the Government of India also expressed its opinion that the GDP growth rate will be lower this year.

India's GDP growth rate in the fiscal year 20180-19 was 6.8 percent. Experts say this year is declining.

Earlier this year, the World Bank clarified its opinion that India's GDP growth rate is projected to fall to five percent this year. Earlier in October 2019, the World Bank had said that India's GDP growth rate would be six percent. But earlier this year, the World Bank changed its mind. Almost similar opinion was also expressed by the Central Statistics Organization.
