It was formally announced that the mobile app will now be able to get unreserved tickets to get rid of long lines at railway stations.
Earlier, an app that facilitated cashless transactions was activated. Railway spokesperson informed that App Rail has started launching unregistered tickets. Visitors will be able to get such tickets through the Yuitsonmobile app. The app will provide cashless and paperless amenities to the traveler, the spokesman said.
Currently, this facility has been started in the Eastern Railway and Northern Railway. Special facilities have been set up till January 11 to give more information to the tourists, especially at Saharanpur, Ambala, Yamuna Nagar, Rajpura, Kalka, Patiala, Chandigarh, Kalka and Bhatinda stations.
In some parts of North India, arrangements were also made to send this information through posters, banners and stickers. Help desks were also started at stations like Junction.
