New delhi date. January 20, 2020, Monday

One of Nirbhaya's criminals, Pawan Gupta's plea has been rejected by the Supreme Court and is considered an adult in 2012. The court, after hearing the arguments of each of the parties, decided that the issue had been raised before and the lower court rejected it. The High Court's decision was correct and we do not see anything new in this petition, so the application is rejected.

It is noteworthy that Pawan, in his petition, said that he was a minor in December 2012. His plea has been rejected by the Delhi High Court, which he later applied to the Supreme Court, and he has also applied for a stay on the execution in February.

After the gang rape in Delhi on December 16, 2012, Nirbhaya along with 6 accused in the gang, 1 of which was a minor, was sent to the correctional house. He has completed his sentence there. One accused, Ram Singh, has been hanged in jail. A second death warrant has been announced for the hanging of four other accused Pawan, Mukesh, Akshay and Vinay Sharma. The date of his execution has been fixed on February 1 in this warrant. The warrant was announced on January 22 and the execution date was announced on January 22.
