Pakistan is now facing a "catastrophic war" with India over the POK issue. To prevent this 'war', he urged the UN Security Council and the Secretary General to take "decisive steps". It also urged Pakistan to take initiative in the violation of human rights in Jammu and Kashmir and to give the Kashmiri people their right to self-determination.

Pakistan's ambassador to the UN, Munir Akram, emphasized the Kashmir issue and made several allegations against India in the debate in the United Nations about honoring the UN Charter. He said that the signal being received from India made it clear his intentions to invade Pakistan.

Akram, referring to India's map, said that the map depicts Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan as Indian Territories. India's foreign minister has also said that he will one day occupy the POK. The UN takes any concrete action to stop these measures in India.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir police arrested two terrorists, including Naveed Babu of Hizbul Mujahideen from South Kashmir. Naved Babu was involved in the murder of a truck driver in Shopian. He is also accused of attacking security forces. Terrorists in Kashmir are said to have changed their tactics. They now move into groups of two to three terrorists, while previously they were in groups of 6 to 7 people.
