One drop of water will not go to Pakistan ...

Union Water Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that once the barrage on the river Ravi is allowed. Then if you do, one drop of water will not go to Pakistan. India's water will remain in India.

On Wednesday, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat inspected the functioning of Baraj and also held a meeting with officials associated with Ranjit Sagar Dam. Talking to the media, he said that the work of Baraj is currently underway. Work is expected to be completed by 2022.

He assured that the financial assistance needed in this work should not be looked back by the Central Government. The additional water saved by this dam will be provided as drinking water to more than 100 coastal villages.

Adding that the project will also benefit Jammu and Kashmir, he said that the Central Government will bear 86% of the cost of the project.
