Indian team captain Virat Kohli, who arrived in New Zealand shortly after playing a one-day series against Australia, has given a statement on the busy cricket program.
"It is not a day when we have to get off the flight and reach the stadium and start playing," Kohli said.
India is set to play the first T20 in New Zealand tomorrow, Friday, and yet five days ago, India played the last match of the ODI series against Australia in Bangalore.
Kohli said the program has been very busy but it is not easy to adapt ourselves to a different time zone by making the long journey from India to New Zealand. I am confident that this will be taken into account when deciding on a future tour. However, international cricket is one where you have to play constantly.
"We spent a lot of time on the field in the last one-day series against Australia," Kohli said. He had played T20 before. New Zealand tours are a relief for us though. Cricket here is not an essential part of life and cricket is not important here. This is a game. However the team is down to win every match. It's fun to play here.
