Former Finance Minister P.K. The 28 CBI officers, including the officer, who jumped the wall of Chidambaram's house, were honored with the Presidential Police Medal on the eve of the Republic Day. According to officials, Deputy SP Ramaswamy Parthasarathi, who arrested Chidambaram in the last year's INX media case, has been honored with the Presidential Police Medal. Parth Sarthi arrested Karti Chidambaram, son of Chidambaram.
Officials said that Direndra Shankar Shukla, joint director of the CBI, has also been given the Presidential Police Medal for distinguished service. He successfully investigated the assassination of Mumbai journalist Jay Day and led the team to bring Indian citizen Roshan Ansari from the United Arab Emirates to India. He also examined the matter connected with the followers of Gurmit Ram Rahim.
Among the officers honored with the Police Medal for distinguished service are Binay Kumar, Manoj Verma, Nirbhay Kumar, Ravi Narayan Tripathi, Mukesh Verma, Nitesh Kumar, Barun Kumar Sarkar, Narayan Chand Sahoo, Nand Kishore, Nur Ali Sheikh and Rohitash Kumar.
