New year Kashmiri Relief launches mobile SMS service

While New Year's celebrations are taking place in the country, locals are complaining as there is still internet ban in Jammu and Kashmir. In the meantime, the government has given relief to the people and mobile SMS service has been launched in Jammu and Kashmir from 31st night. In addition, the government has issued an order to start internet in hospitals.

Kashmiris were greatly relieved by this decision of the government. Broadband service and SMS service will be launched at all government offices in Jammu and Kashmir. On December 31st, SMS services have been launched on every mobile with internet services in every government hospital.

On the fifth of August this year, the Modi government removed Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, following which security services were shut down in whole Kashmir.

However, it has been started in Kargil recently and is now slowly being started in Kashmir too. At present government hospitals have been started while SMS service has also been started. People will be able to use SMS to send greetings to each other in the new year.
