His body was found in his car two weeks after a 34-year-old Gujarati-origin woman mysteriously went missing in the US state of Illinois, media reported.

Suril Dabawala's family, who did not return to his home in Shomberg, Illinois, on December 30, 2019, declared him missing, Shomberg police said. He went to the gym to exercise and was last seen driving his car. After that, Dabwala didn't appear anywhere, his family said.

Chicago Police on Monday contacted Shomberg police reporting that a missing body was found in the car owned by a missing person. Chicago police will conduct the investigation as a dead body.

Police officers were called after a private detective stopped by the Dubwala family found a white sedan car in the West Garfield Park area, a Chicago police spokeswoman said. The trunk was opened after Suril's father arrived with the keys of the car. Suril was found wrapped in a blanket, which was declared dead by authorities.

The cause of his untimely death was not known on Tuesday, but the medical examiner revealed his identity. The toxicology test results can be obtained about a month later. Suril was reported missing and his family also announced a reward of ten thousand dollars for the person who sought him.

“Our family has no idea what really happened to Suril. We are waiting for the police report. It is also important to know the consequences of autopsy before we come to any conclusions. Suril Dabawala did his MBA from Chicago Univ. He was working in a medical center run by his doctor's father.
