Mobile and Internet services have been shut down at 6 pm on the day of Republic Day in Jammu and Kashmir. Calling and SMS service along with mobile internet will be closed till 6 pm.
The mobile-internet service was restarted within hours of shutting down on Saturday. Sunday morning mobile calling connectivity has also been banned.
The Republic Day was celebrated for the first time under strict security after the abolition of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir on August 5 and declaring the state as two Union Territories. The main planning of Republic Day was held in the present capital of Jammu, where the Deputy Governor GC. Murmu flagged.
The main program in Kashmir was held at the Shere Kashmir Cricket Stadium in Srinagar, where the Deputy Governor's Advisor Farooq Khan hoisted the national flag.
