Indian team gives Republic Day win, beats New Zealand by seven wickets

Team India gifted Republic Day with a win by beating New Zealand by 7 wickets in a T20 match at Eden Park in Auckland. With this, India have taken a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20 series. The third match of the series will be played in Hamilton on Wednesday, January 29.

In this second T20 match, the New Zealand team, who had batted first and won the toss, lost 5 wickets in 20 overs, making 132 runs and giving India a target of 133 runs. The Indian team chased the target, losing 3 wickets in 17.3 overs.

Rahul scored the 11th half of the T20 International career. He played an unbeaten 57, while Shreyas Iyer played 44. Rahul and Iyer added 86 for the third wicket. Shivam Dubey scored an unbeaten 8. He won the victory by team India. Rohit Sharma struck out 6 for 8. And Kohli was out for 11.
