India will be ready for Kashmir: Imran

Lahore, Ta. January 17, 2020, Friday

Pakistan's dog tail, which has consistently failed to raise the Kashmir issue internationally, is justifying the wacky parable. Yet Pakistan has raised the issue once more by raising the Kashmir issue to the UNSC earlier this week.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has raised the issue of Kashmir in an interview with German broadcaster Deutsche Welle this time. He has also prepared for a referendum under the supervision of international observers in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK). However, this is why they have demanded the same policy in Kashmir, India.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan once again tried to surround the Modi government over the decision to repeal Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and amend the citizenship law.

Imran Khan said Pakistan was ready for a referendum on POK. Let the local people decide whether they want to live with Pakistan or want to be free. However, the prerequisite for this is that observers of the world will have to hold a referendum in Kashmir, India.

However, he acknowledged that Pakistan was not receiving any international support for the Kashmir issue at the international level. He accused Western countries of giving more importance to the commercial interests of Kashmir. He said that because India is a big market, Western countries do not support the Kashmir issue.

Regarding human rights violations in POK, Imran Khan said that we invite people from all over the world to come to POK and then go to Kashmir, part of India. Then people decide.

In our Kashmir elections are transparent and people elect their own government. Observers are called from all over the world but I am confident that they can come to Pakistan, but will not enter Kashmir, India.

Deutsche Welle's editor, Ines Pohle, stopped talking to the Pakistani prime minister when he questioned Iran's silence over Uyghur Muslims being persecuted in China. He defended Pakistan's stance on the issue, saying that what was happening to the Uighur Muslims in China could not be compared to the level of Kashmir.

Besides, China is a good friend of ours. China helped us when the government was in a financial crisis. So we talk privately about the Uyghur Muslims in China, not on the public level, because this is a very sensitive issue.
