Google has also been featured on a special doodle on the eve of India's Republic Day. Google showcases India's art and culture in today's doodle. India Gate, Taj Mahal as well as different states of the country are seen. Today's doodle is designed by Singapore artist Maru Seth.
Seven decades ago, the Constitution of India came into force on January 26. Earlier in the British Raj from 1930 to 1947, this day was celebrated as Purna Swaraj Day.
The Constitution of India was prepared on 26 November 1949. After which, on January 26, 1950, India began its journey as a republican country.
National bird blooms, India's cultural colors, arts, textile and dance are all seen together.
