The terrorists were arrested from the Hazratbal area of ​​Srinagar in a major operation by the Jammu and Kashmir Police. A large quantity of explosives and other ammunition were recovered from them.

The arrested terrorists include Ejaz Ahmed Sheikh, Omar Hamid Shaikh, Imtiaz Ahmed, Sahil Farooq and Naseer Ahmed Mir. According to information received, the police have arrested the terrorists near Hazratbal on Thursday evening, breaking a large module module.

Police sources said the arrested terrorists were plotting a suicide attack or IED attack in Srinagar around January 26. Police have seized a large amount of explosives and other belongings from these terrorists.

Recently, two terrorists were arrested by security forces in Kulgam district of Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir Police DSP Devinder Singh was also arrested in Kulgam along with the terrorists. Meanwhile, a Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist was arrested from Awantipora area of ​​Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Thursday.

A spokesperson for the police said that the terrorists in the area were assisting the terror group in areas like Avantipora, Padgampora, Sonarigund, Gulzarpora, Begpora, Reshipora and Dangerpora. The arrested terrorist is Ishfaq Ahmed Dar alias Machid, a resident of Danjarpora-Pagampora in Pulwama. According to police, the machine was providing logistic support to the terrorists in Avantipora.
