Everest rises to Sino-Nepal over eight inches of snow a year: US

In 100 years Everest's 10 feet of snow will melt

Studying images provided by American Satellite Corona for decades, American experts expressed fear that as much as Everest's snow melts eight inches per year, it could prove dangerous for countries such as China and Nepal.

The US launched the satellite of Cairo in the 1960s

Originally its purpose was to spy on Russia, but from time to time its pictures seem to work in other studies as well. The images provided by this satellite fall into the Top Secret category after 1995, but were later released.

The satellite has produced more than eight million photos from 1962 to 2018. The pictures also include large photographs of the Himalayan range. The project undertaken by Andrews University studied decades of images of Everest.

The result was shocking. Every year, eight inches of ice sheet is melted in Everest. If the snow melts at this speed, it will melt about eight to 10 feet of snow in 100 years and the most dangerous impact will be on China and Nepal.

Researchers claimed that the drinking water available from Everest would be eliminated. This will cause major damage to China-Nepal-Tibet. As the ice becomes soft, it will become a real threat to mountaineers. Of the two glaciers in Everest, the Khumbuk has so far melted 260 feet of snow and 300 feet of Emoja glacier has melted.
